My diesel 3020 quit and when I checked the tank it only had about a half inch of fuel. After putting in 5 gal, it won't start. Do I have to prime and if so, how?

you may want to take off the fuel filters and fill them to the brim and re-install.
they hold quite a bit.

You have to bleed the system. There is a plug on the fuel filter base. loosen the top plug, then use the hand lever on the fuel pump until only fuel without foam runs out. then retighten the plug...it should now start.

If you still have problems starting, you can put 25-30lbs.of air (via air hose & rag to seal it)in the fuel tank & have someone else start it,only if it will not pick up fuel.
