30-40 hp tractor for acreage

I have an Allis D14 and am interested in getting a more modern John Deere tractor. WHat would be in the 30-40 hp range, say 30 yrs old or newer and $5K-10K would be about right.

There are several all of which are good tractors
1020
2020
1530
2040
2240

Some speak well of their experiances with the industrials too such as 301a and 401a

You might find the 2510 (35 to 40 years) and 2520 (30 to 35years) a good look as they are true row crop tractor witha bullet proof following with most deere owners
(My personal choice)
the others are utility to row crop utility configurations depends on what you want there are some others in the 50hp range that fit your price range. good luck.
