After many years of useing water only I put anti-
freeze in my '59 630lp. The result was it didn't
freeze ....but it plugged the radiator as the antifreeze worked as a cleaner and deposited all build up from over the years in the raidiator. I have taken the radiator and it has been cleaned.
My question is how to clean inside the water jackets of the motor. I have concidered acid wash
but concerned about freeze plugs. Does this model
have freeze plugs? Is there a better way to clean
the rest of the water assoiated parts?
Sorry so long winded, just trying to give all details. Thanks, Rich

The only way to clean the cooling system is to hot tank the head, block, thermostsat, waterpump, vapourizer and coolant pipes. Anything strong enough to "flush" and do the job will disolve the copper based radiator. This case is a example of what happens to those who just use tap water in a cooling system and a rad cap that isn't air/water tight. Hot water, minerals and oxygen do a real job.

I'm not sure, but perhaps some of the commercially available radiator cleaners would work---it might take two or three tries (I'd guess that once it drained "clean" with no sign of scale, you'd be done).
Hope this helps, and good luck!
