I thought the tractors did really well for the condition. Restored tractors were showing the age of the restoration. It was the first Aumann sale I had ever been to. I thought they really did a good job. See they are doing the two cylinder auction too.

hi mel, thanks for taking the time to write down the results and posting them here. i was interested in seeing what the early model A brought. thought it would bring more. also surprised to see the unstyled G brought as much as it did. guess one never knows what to expect.

Im a neighbor to the owners, and very good friends with them also.. i have drove many of them tractors, and helped restore the 320 southern special and the 720 standard. it was a very good sale, i saw one box of parts on the rack go for 840 dollars! but at the same time, it was hard to watch all the tractors leave.

any particular reason why the early model A only brought $20K? i thought it would bring more than that. wish i had attended to i could have bid on it.

i know, i thought that the 620 would have brought more the 80k also, but before ron died, he figured that it was only (the A) worth about 20-25 thousand, so its hard to tell

Thanks. i should have stuck around, that pull type would have been a great little piece to have, and i would have had to only pull it a mile to get it home!

Matt,

Send me your e-mail. Went to school with Ron (a few years younger). Know his son Scott. Grew up just north west of there, by Silver Lake(just a few miles from Gene). I'm just a beginner. Only have 3 in the shop(a 55 "50" bought at auction 9 years ago, my son has the 50 "A" my dad bought new, and I have the 56 "60" my grandpa bought new). These were all working tractors on the farms. None are restored yet. 2 are rebuilt (overhaul, that kind of stuff) and in good running condition. The "A" needs some work yet. This board has been very helpful. Clooney and John T have been very helpful. Been a little nuts lately and haven't had time to work on it.
