Is the JD301 a good tractor? (do they have PTO?)

Going to look at a JD301 and the guy claims it has a live PTO. I wasn't sure that industrials came with Live PTO. He supposedly has $7000 in transmission/shuttle shift repair done to it. Is the 301 a good tractor?

The 301 is the industrial version of a 1020. I think they all have PTO. Mine does. Live PTO was an option, but I don't think that you could get the combination of live PTO and clutchless shuttle - it was either/or. At least that's what I recall from my owner's manual, which now is sitting 175 miles from my office where I am writing this.

The 301 is as good as a 1020, maybe better if used with a loader (due to the heavier front axle).
