I have a 2010 and just bought a 45 combine. I heard the engines would swap. Can anyone tell me the stats on this.

What year is the combine, and what does the serial plate on the combine engine say? The 180 engine will not fit the 2010. If the combine engine is a HA, HB, HC,145 or 165, it will fit the 2010. The HA 145 is not a sleeve engine, not sure about the HB, the HC, HD, HE, and HG are sleeve and deck engine like the 2010. I don't think I would inatall the HA engine with no sleeves. You will have some parts to use from the 2010 engine, water pump, front pulley, fly wheel, flywheel housing and some other parts. The first 45s had a hercules engine, it won't work either.

Which Hercules engine did the early one's have? Was it a flat head or ohv? When I was a kid we had an early 45, and I often got to run it. It was great! However, I don't know which engine it had. It was an ohv, however. This was an early 45 with the round back and the high grain tank.

I had a 1969 model 45 comb. before I bought my 55. it has to be a late model 45 with a 180 power unit . the 180 I had was good one but it liked gas. good luck with your transplant.
