How do I take the centrifical drive clutch off the motor? It won't open all the way no matter how much teflon spray I put on the guides. My local dealer said the bushing is probably gone and that the whole clutch needs replacement (by them of course).
Any advice is appreciated. Thanks Grant.

I have broken the right side tie rod on my 4X6. Does anyone know how to remove the broken piece on the steering side.

Grant,
To remove the drive clutch you need a "puller "it s a special bolt that goes down inside the clutch to the crankshaft and pushes the clutch off. My books are at the shop but on a 4*2 the bushing is replaceable.A new clutch will run in the $400.00 range. if your shives ( sides of the clutch that grip yhe belt) are worn you may be better off to replace the clutch.buy the puller(50.00) and do it your self.

Thanks Mickey, I pulled the whole engine out(easier than trying to get the buggy on my truck as it would not move) and took it to my dealer. Service poped the clutch off and charged $5.00. New clutch was 401.86. Got it all back together in a half hour and ran great until it started over heating. Nothing was plugged in the block or the rad so I pulled the seats and plastic shroud away from the rad, eventually got it out with the fan. It appears that the fan motor is cooked and the thermalcouple won't close. Guess I'm back to the dealer for parts tomorrow.
Why does equipment never run when your trying to get a job done?
