Hi All,
I have a 41 b that I had piston sleeves put in but the guy did not taper the ends near tha crank and when I put my brand new piston rings in It caught this little step from the new sleeve and I broke not one but both of the new oil ring. Is there anywhere to get just replacment oil ring, as the rest of the rings are still good. Thanks in advance for any help.
Very frustraded Jerry

Jerry,

Parts Catalog PC 330 lists the following for Serial No. B60000-B200999 on page 14, Key item 28:

Part No. AB 4752 R - Ring, Piston, Oil Control (2 Rings) (2 Used) (Sub for AB1465R)

OR

Part No. AB 4753 R - Ring, Piston, Oil Control (2 Rings) (.045 " Oversize) ( 2 Used) (Sub for AB1466R)

You might want to verify this information with someone who probably has better eyes than I do - I bought three or four wrong part numbers (including a set of standard size rings for my .045" oversize pistons) when I was rebuilding my '41 B, all because of not looking close enough or not "measuring twice and sawing once", as Dad used to say.

Hope this helps,

Stan
