we have a 4450 with electrical problems. with the switch in the second position or road lights,,all light are on,,the upper rear cab lights and lower cab lights along with thw hood lamp bar. Both front cab lights are on also hi and low beams. When the dimmer switch is pressed nothing happens at all. It does the same thing on the last position on the light switch. The very same lights are on and while the dimmer switch is pressed nothing happens. The hi beam indicator on the dash stays on all of the time also. I have checked and installed a new dimmer switch and nothing has changed..any ideas!!!

in an original system, there are 3 light relais under the cover below the steering column. one of them (i think the mid one) is a special relay and acts differently then 'normal' 5 legged relasis. check if this relay was not replaced with a 'normal' relay.
othewise the tm must be consulted.

i wondered about the relays also they seem to working. This 4450 has 6 relays under the steering column. i will check that center relay,,now that you mention the 5-legged relay i remember it. thanks.

Have you tried a different light switch or added any lighting. Did this just happen recently or did you just buy the tractor? Has anybody done any work behind the dash? chris
