Would someone let me know some specs on a Deere MT?

Were any of them available with a factory three point hitch?

What is the horsepower rating?

What is the weight?

Overall opinion of these tractors?

Thanks,

Andy

Thanks for the info.

Is this tractor underpowered for its weight?

Any experience using it?

Andy

Ihave use one for about 7 years, power is adequate, will pull 15 foot harrow in 3rd gear and plow most of time using a 2-12 plow. You will spin out in creeper gear (1.5 mph). Never used the PTO but I would think it would handle a 5 foot finish mower. Woods and John Deere made one for this tractor. In tractor pulls will outpull an 8N Ford. Russ

I have a MT I have used a lot. I have always been surprised at how much it will pull and how handy it is. It turns quickly and though the lift mechanism isn't 3 point it works great to lift a semi integral implement such as a hay rake. Only thing I have noticed on mine is how slow the reverse is. You need to pack a luch when backing up to an implement. My dad built a step for mine out of pipe. It is sort of a Z with the center part straight. Mounts to the round implement hook up on the left side below the foot platform. He made it out of old 2" (I think) pipe. Helps to get on and off. Mine has a single front wheel and is really light on the front. The round bar lift on the back is the right size for the quick hitch on a JD #5 or #8 mower other than it isn't as wide as bigger tractors so you have to space in the mounts on an 8. I think it is a great little tractor and will run for a week on the fuel a G takes in a day.

Andy, if you go to Parts and Pieces over by tractor photo's and type in MT at the bottom, theres a picture of my MT with a three point conversion and a bush hog. jdman decribed it pretty well, the only other think I can add is there pretty well on gas.

No 3 point, had sort of a 2 point
about 18 Hp
3200 lbs
Handy reliable tractor, very difficult to get on and off. 4 speeds, creeper gear, avail with rowcrop, single front tire, wide front end. Live hydraulics, no cylinder hookup. Russ
