I have been considering purchasing an 4020 for some time now. I just do not know what to look for when it comes time to go look at one (considering late fall or early new year). This tractor will be kept for hobby stuff and spend most of it's time pulling a hay wagon full of kids and thier grandkids in the fall(I have alot of these).

Whatever you do try to get a diesel. They are efficient and reliable. Power-shift is a very nice option also.

I have an early 4020 diesel, and I love it! It is a perfect "all around" tractor. Not too big or too small. Some say that it is the most popular tractor that Deere has ever produced.
If you are looking to do alot of farming with rear implements, you may consider buying a "late" model with a "side console" for added comfort, depending on how much money you want to spend.
