List prices from your local JD dealer:
AA5579R - bearing, with slinger, washer and seal (you don't need to purchase the seal separately) -
$44.10 -- A4298R - impeller - $64.95 -- F1053R - gasket - $1.97.

The JD internet parts system is handy, but your local dealer will usually have cheaper prices, and you'll get them just as quickly, if not more so. If you live in area with quite a few two-cylinders around, they might just have them in stock. It looks to me like you should be able to rebuild your pump for about $120 in parts. They're not tough to overhaul - certainly much easier than swapping tanks from one radiator to another, or swapping a complete radiator.

Gary:

Is you "G" water pump a factory unit ? If so, I just made a check on JDPArts.com and all the parts are available. You might not like the prices, but bearing ($55.32)/gasket ($2.47)/seal($38.35)/impeller ($81.47) are all listed as still available.

It is basically the same on used on early '70' models, and the early diesels, too. I rebuilt mine. Don't cheat and re-use an old impeller if it has worn spot at the seal lip. It looks like you can flip it over and get a fresh surface, but there is no clearance.

I'd rebuild it if it were mine. Water pumps use standard bearing assemblies and seals, so if you know somebody with a press have them take it apart and visit your local bearing house to get a new bearing matched to your old one. Same deal on seal except you'll have to be creative in where to shop. Irrigation supply, water pump stores, etc. It's Rancher's Supply in my area, they have a whole isle of seals just waiting for somebody to walk down them and size this part and that part.

Your welcome. I would like to add that pricing is going to be about $10 for seal (both parts) and maybe as high as $20 for the bearing assembly when going the 'generic' route.
