Babbitt pushrod bearing questions?

I had a babbitt bearing fail(loud knocking)and want to have it re-done. Looking for a good machine shop that re-pour these, any good ones out there or recommended. The crank journal looks great and very smooth and not out-of-round,I see no reason to have it machined. Are there any particular things I should do when re-installing the new bearing other than checking clearance .003,and lightly oiling the faces and journal? This is on a 1931 GP big bore and used very little, shows and parades.
