Does anyone have any feedback on a 456 JD round baler with netwrap. I looked at one yesterday that has been used 2 seasons. We only make 100-200 bales a year. Any suggestions are welcome.

They are a real good baler, easy to run, and makes a real nice bale. No offense, but thats kind of overkill for 200 bales a year. In good dry hay that baler will spit out 200 net wrapped bales in 4 hours or less

Thanks for the comments...overkill yes, but the plan is for it to last 10 seasons. First cut goes into square bales unless the weather gets in the way and then we'll round it. This baler has net wrap. Any feed back on that? We're going for the netwrap to eliminate building another shed. Tired of the waste.

Virginia, net wrap ties alot faster than twine, protects hay better than twine. The downside is does not tolerate UV rays as well as twine, snags easier than twine while loading or moving, you can't see it going on bale and all lights and buzzer will not tell if bale is wrapped until you open gate and see a bale without wrap(pain to rebale and wrap)Need good supply of talcom powder to put on rubber feed rolls to cut down static elect.Roll of wrap is about 90#s and a little hard to handle. You can bale with twine or wrap so if you don't like wrap just put twine on bale.I loved my 435/wrap until it started running wrap off to one side of bale and mother Deere couldn't fix it.I don't have to worry about it because a brg. went out and it is a crispy critter now.But it is very fast when it worked.Fire extingisher and Insurance is very important.Any brand of rd.baler are subject to burn.Run a JD 467 now and I like it better!!!!! !!!Sorry for long post.Jim B
