Hi, I can't get the transmission on my '48 B to go into Reverse, 1st, or 3rd. gear. It won't go into the slots on the quadrant. The tractor has been sitting under cover for almost two years.
Thanks,
Mark

sundance43, it sounds like maybe a shift shaft is frozen up with rust or it is still in another gear & the shift lever won't move that far over.
~About all you can do is pull the trans top cover & see what is causing the problem. You should be able to move the shift shafts with a big screwdriver. You will also be able to see if one if still stuck in gear....

Thanks Clooney. That's what the problem was, Rust. Now it works like a charm. Thanks again.

Mark
