Is there any way to go from the oil bath air cleaner to a filter type?

Wes; I am working on this now on my 49 A. What I have in mind I know will work and no one will know, but I would rather complete this and dyno test before I say how I say anything. I will post later if this works. give me a couple weeks. BUDD

I look forward to hearing what your plan is. Anything has to be better than the oil bath.

A lot of the tractorpullers hose clamp a K&N filter (from the local auto parts store) to the intake pipe leading to the carburetor. Just turn the intake pipe down and clamp on the filter with a hose clamp.

ive seen the oil bath ones butchered up so you can get a dry filter cowboyed in there; I bought an A with that done to it, had all the mesh cut out, then find long narrow filter it fit in there, must cover hole to engine, then figure way to hold filter up tight so no dirt goes by to engine,,,Or maybe if you dont care about stock look, find some air housing from newer tractor and cram that in there,,,My cheap advice,,Bill
