Rick, I have JD Green on my 630. It looks good to me. There was a post a week are so back that a fellow said he painted 8 strips, each a different shade of green and very few people could tell any difference in them even as they sit side by side. You can use either and you will be happy. The 720 decals are at a 23 degree angle. I do not know how high up on the nose cone it goes. Maybe Frank will see this and would be able to tell you. He just finished a 70D.
The 720 is my favorite tractor. Just can't find a good one close to me.

Hey Guys:

As far as paint, I personally can't see the difference in the JD greens, but I probably don't have a very well trained eye. I used PPG Acrylic Enamel for the Green and Dupont Acrylic Enamel for the Yellow. It is holding up well. I used some JD on my 855 hood and side panels a few years ago, with hardener, and it still got dull very fast when exposed to our harsh Florida sun.

On the decals, this issue of Two Cylinder magazine, a fella asked the angle of the -20 series model numbers and they said a 28 degrees upslope.

Hope this helps.

Hey Frank!

I was curious on which paint number of JD green and yellow you ended up with from PPG. I used their Acrylic Urathene line and did a mix (just wondered how close it was to the PPG enamel)

Thanks!
Gary

Gary:

The PPG Green I used was 46180, and the DuPont was DT2612 (Ful-Acryl II).

I could never get a PPG Yellow that would match up.

Frank
