I have bought a 34 A and am trying to restore it. However, it's missing a few parts. It seems, I will need the rocker arm assembly, push rods, tappet cover, and clutch assembly. Will any of these parts from any of the early styled As fit it? Also, there is a pretty deep mark in the bottom of one of the cylinders where maybe water stood for a long time. Can you sleeve these or should I try and look for another block? Thanks Randy.

Randy, a few of the later parts will interchange but not many. If you plan on restoring your 34 you really need to get a parts book. The later unstyled parts books will usually show the subbed number it the later parts will fit.
~On sleeving the block, yes it can be sleeved & re-machined to fit your original pistons but due to the double set up & double machining the cost to sleeve has gone way up in the last few years & in most cases it is now cheaper to bore oversize & install new larger pistons. If you do the machining yourself the sleeve will probably be cheaper.

Thanks Clooney. I have ordered a parts manual but just wanted to ask about these particular parts before it had a chance to arrive. I'll look up the numbers once it gets here. Taking your advice, I might go ahead and find another block and rebore since I'm having a machine shop do the work. I guess I was wanting to keep the old cast iron pistons since they are in good shape and original but you can't always have everything exactly like you want.
