My G.P. had very little braking when I got it pulled the drum off the right side the lining had been replaced but only a little wear on the bottomd side only. The shoe has one stright end and the other end is curled around witch was on top and the stright end on the bottom. The only other parts is the spring to hold the shoe togeather and the cam.Tried to invert the shoe but can,t get the drum on. Is there something missing? Or should I put the drum on then turn the came more on the peddle? Thank you for your time Big D.

You need to advance the cam one spline tooth in the pedal. There is also a stop behind the brake pedal that may need to be advanced too.
