I installed the pistons in my AR tonight and I have a question on the con rod bolts. When I took it apart awhile ago it had one set of the newer bolts with marsden nuts and one set with drilled bolts and castle nuts. Which ones work better or are preferred? I have a spare set of the drilled bolts and castle nuts and was going to use them but was wondering about the torque procedure, the manual says 100 lbs, but the castle nut dosn't line up. If you go to the next slot to match up the hole, dosn't that overtorque (stretch) the bolt or is it alright. It seems with the newer style bolt and nut combination the torque could be set closer. JD says to change rod bolts on an overhaul on diesels, does that also stand for gas engines? Thanks, Any help would be appreciated.

I forgot to add that I'm using the A4648R con rods (60 series)
