My clutch lever will pull up and turn the PTO shaft but will not stay up. Without pulling the PTO shaft and clutch out away from the tractor. Can someone suggest what might be wrong?
Thanks, Roger

Roger, it sounds like the PTO clutch isn't snapping over center & needs an adjustment, OR the lined plates are delaminating...

If the clutch is way loose the pto lever will not stay up. Best way to adjust it as per the operators and service manual cheap from Deere at 1-800-522-7448. You will need the manuals for info on many other areas of service anyways.
