Have completely rewired my MT per the spec's you and CLooney gave me...I do not have any lights [yet, but will] so the green wires are terminated, secured and taped-off where the lights with evetually be. Do I need to do something else to prevent shorting or be aware of any other issue(s)?

thanks in advance

Hi Tom, glad to hear of the progress. Nope, if any live wires are taped off you should be okay for now. Its been so long I think I e mailed u a diagram and clooney did also. Let us know if all works n she charges etc. The only possible issue I recall is the wiring on that switch may be confusing, it should have connection terminals for the generators field (white) and lights (green) and ignition (blue) and the hot fused circuit to the battery via the ammeter, so post back any questions. Thanks John...the re-wiring went well, but I wanted to make sure...you are correct about her [not] charging and I assumed my generator was not working properly or some related electrical device. However, later the gen. pulley hub split and maybe the gen wasn't getting all the pull it needed, now replacing the entire fan assembly...learning this tractor quickly. Hope your son is home soon.

regards,
tom

My USMC son, LCPL Brandon, was able to e mail us, and his latest rumor is home maybe June or July??? Once you get it all wired up and a good tight belt, you can still by pass jump around that cutout relay and dead ground the generatos field (so light switch dont have to do it) and see if she charges.
