A while back I had asked for some help on a leak around the shaft for the three point hitch. Someone had given me some advice as they had just fixed the same seal. Well this weekend I finally got to the seals and wanted to give a heart felt THANK YOU to that person as his description was right on. Why don't the manuals give better drawings as to these seal and how all componets are connected internally so you can tell for sure what will happen when you pull a shaft out of the casing. Again Thanks for the help.

Generally when you're tackling a project like that, your best bet is to have the service AND parts manual in hand when doing the repair. The exploded views of the parts manuals will sometimes show how things go together more effectively than the service manual can. If they put all the various parts breakdowns in the service manual, you'd have a service manual that weighed 20 lbs. The service manuals were designed for use by dealership personnel that have access to the parts manual. That's why it will pay off many times over to have all the various manuals for your tractor, including the operator's manual.
