My 620 must live outside so it gets condensation water in the transmission gear lube. The lube turns milky and does not seem to separate even if I let it set for a long time. I am using GL-4 140 wt. So can I heat the drained lube, boil the water off and reuse it? Seems a waste to dispose of the lube each year with only a few hours running time on it. Thanks

Water is heavier than oil-just crack your drain plug to where the water starts coming out. As soon as it stops and oil starts to come out close it off and run it another season. Those old gears aren't that picky as long as they have some kind of lubrication.

Just take it to the recycling depot and purchase more GL-1 sae 140.
