JD 46 B High Low range

When it's in low range going down a hill it will jump out. It does fine in high range. any help Thanks

Keith, if the shift lever moves out of gear your problem is with the actual gear moving on the sliding gear shaft. If the shift lever doesn't move your problem is with the hi-low under drive disconnecting. In the first case [the lever moving] it could be worn or weak shifter detents, or bad trans bearings. Usually on the hi-low becoming disengaged it's worn trans bearings, or worn input shaft bearings.
~About all you can do is pull the trans top cover & take a look, then reach in & move the shafts around to see if there are worn bearings...
