Had the flywheel off so I could service the sliding gear shaft. Had the clutch off so I could replace the discs. Re installed the flywheel by reading the I&T manual. said flywheel controls end play on crank. Have the clutch back on, too, and have been having trouble getting it to engage or disengage, but I think it is unrelated. What is bothering me is that I think I have the flywheel on wrong place, i.e., too far up or down the splines because I can grab the flywheel and move the crank in and out maybe a 1/16 of an inch. As I push and pull, I can hear it go dunk....dunk just a bit. I don't remember this... Now I wonder if I have to space the crank all the way to one side or the other before I install the clutch and flywheel so that the crank can't move slightly one way or the other. I wanted to get it running and out of the garage this week, but it is looking doubtful...I need help here...thanks, AC
