In the early 70s when I started on my tool collection, I bought some John Deere wrenches. They were combination wrenches that started at 7/8" and went to 1 1/4". They were expensive and rusted like a cheap pocket knife.HJ

My Dad bought a set of John Deere combination wrenches back in the early 80's and they were made by Bonnie.

I have a John Deere tool box that I had gotten new back in 1980. Dad has a complete 3/4 inch drive ratchet set that he got at about the same time.

Jon:

Danaher is a US company that makes many hand tools, and I think they make the current line for JD. They make Craftsman, the new Kobalt for Lowe's, and some other lines I can't remember right off hand.

A friend of mine broke a couple deere sockets, he took them to a deere dealer for replacement. When he looked the new ones over, they said Taiwan on them. NO he wasn't happy!! Robert
