GVJ, The hyd. pump is the only location that will allow oil from the hydraulics to enter the crankcase. There are 2 seals on the pump shaft to prevent this, also you may need to replace the needle bearings or something is worn in the pump housing itself. Changing to 30 weight oil is not the answer to the problem, originally the system was designed for 10w oil.

When you next have it apart, check the shaft for a groove worn where the seal rides. Had the same problem with my 40U many years ago. Replaced both the seals & the shaft-no more problems, but be sitting down when the parts man reads you the price on the shaft!

Is it possible that the seals are in backwards? Just a thought. Other than that or a damaged seal or bad bearing, there isn't really any way for the pump to leak as I remember it.
