Hi again Mr. Kendall, I made it back so am e mailing you a couple different wiring diagrams. Do you have on or with the generator a full fledged Voltage Regulator with 3 terminals marked ARM (or GEN) BAT and FLD,

or a 4 wire full fledged Voltage Regulator having three top terminals marked L and BAT and FLD with a lower side terminal marked GEN or ARM,

or a smaller 2 wire cutour relay only ????? ???

Although the SN break may tell what it originally came out with, many over the years have been changed over, so it will make thigns easier if I know what type of generator and voltage regulator you have.

The diagrams can be a guide in the meantime, but post back what type of generator and voltage regulator or cut out relay you have and I can probably guide you in its correct wiring.

God Bless the USA Ol John T Nordhoff in Indiana.
