A Question About EXPO

Suppose a person is actually interested in what the correct police think of their tractor, is there a way to ensure your restoration is correct prior to hauling it to the Expo, or is the typical process to restore it, show it and then find out what is wrong? Is there anything printed or published to help a restorer know what should be what? Also, the Canandaigua, NY show is same weekend as Iowa Expo. I'm assuming the latter is much larger, but my model R is being featured in NY. I'd appreciate comments from those with experience as to which show might be better/worse. I've never been to an Expo or any show that large. Thanks.

I have not attended the two cylinder expos, but have been to the New York show twice. There are more exhibits on display in New York. My impression is that the correct police are staying in the midwest and not coming to NY Expo. There were greater than 700 tractors in 2001 show. Bring your tractor and you won't be disappointed. I have not brought exhibits due to the distance but intend to hit the show again this summer. Its about 700 miles travel from where I live in Northern Maine.

I have never been to the National 2 Cylinder EXPO in Iowa or Michigan, or wherever they have it. But I have been to the NY EXPO and I must say it is one of the best, if not the best, shows I have ever attended. I plan to attend the NY EXPO this year and have my reservations already. From what I heard 2 years ago, vendors pulled out of the Michigan EXPO to come to the NY EXPO. The NY EXPO had over 800 tractor exhibits and will probably equal or exceed that number this year. Do yourself a favor and go to the NY EXPO this year. Attend the National EXPO next year during the off year seeing the NY EXPO is every other year. Just my 2 cents.
