JD Model RS Drill

Do to my own not paying attention to what I was doing, I broke a gear on the "bargain" drill that I found. Went to the John Deere place and discovered the gear was obsolete and they couldn't get or find a replacement. What I need is a A477M gear. Does anybody have an idea where to start looking for parts for this old early 50's drill. I sure could use some help getting started.
