Just repainted and changed all the fluids on a 1944 B. The B had been sitting in a North Dakota Shelterbelt for the last ? years. After a little tinkering with the Mag and new plugs, she fired and idled well. On the first nice day this spring I decided to take her for a ride. The oil pressure gauge didn't register, but I had been told that it didn't work. Guess what? The engine started to labor a little so I shut her down and pulled it back in the shop. After cooling off, the flywheel turns heavily and the flywheel shaft squeaks. Is it possible that the engine can be saved, or is this a complete tear down? Thanks in Advance for any info! Bapa

Bapa, it sure sounds like you have a tight bearing in there somewhere probably a rod bearing]. Not sure you will need a total tear down but you probably should pull the crankcase cover & take a look at the bearings & also find the reason you aren't getting any oil pressure.....
