Is there any certain way to tell if the front weight sets for the 520 - 730 tractors are original john deere? I am in the process of getting a 4 piece set and was wondering how to tell if they are correct? The guy said they have the correct jd numbers but doesnt say jd anywhere? I am guessing they are original. Anyone who knows more about them and could help it would be appreciated. Thanks aaron

Aaron,

If you have the part numbers I'll look them up in Deere's AC-1000 catalog.

Aaron,
Sorry it took me so long to get back to you, but here goes:
The right hand weight is #A5346R (100 lbs.)
The left hand weight is #A5347R (100 lbs.)
The (first) front frame weight is #A5345R (125 lbs.)
"Supplemental" front weights that bolt on top of #A5345R are #A5348R (125 lbs./ea.)
There is no mention in the AC-1000 Catalog of whether they are cast with any marks identifying them as JD.
Hope this helps!
