On my 46 A the high-low gear shifter lever doesn't move back to low if I put the tractor in reverse- in other words ,it will go into reverse in high which makes for an interesting ride backwards!! Is there something broken here? Thanks to all who reply!

Morgan, there is a pin that screws into the overdrive shift fork [inside the trans] that pushes the overdrive shifter into low range when the trans in put into reverse. It has either fallen out, or more than likely someone has removed it. I usually pull it out of mine when I'm into the trans as it makes it easier to shift into reverse. Then I either back up in high range if just for a few feet, or manually shift into low range if I'm backing up very far or backing a wagon..
