Early John Deere front wheels

the other day we were cleaning out an old shed and found 2 round spoke wheels with rotted tires, and rims. the cap in the center said JD with a part # the old neighbor that was helping, (or watching) said they had came off an early JD A or B. the tires said 15 in. the wheels seem to use a straight shaft instead of the tapered spindle. there were 2 very large like needle bearings inside the hub with a large warsher, the caps were held on with 4 square headed bolts. is the old guy correct on what they fit?

sounds like they were the ones that were used on an elevator. they used a straight axle shaft with needle bearings.
