Will a float ride seat off of a JD 70 fit on my JD 50. My parts manual lists AR 20346 R or AA 6807 R as the part no. for the 50. Thanks

I see that you havent gotten any replies, so I'll try my best to help you out. According to my 20 series book the "float ride seat" was not offered until the 20 series tractors. Perhaps someone retrofitted a float ride to your 70, but I am fairly sure that it is not factory. If a float ride can be fitted to your 70 why not your 50. The problem will be the clearence of your powertrol lever on the wider float ride seat and if your 50 has the live PTO option the float ride seat will not have the bracket for the live power lever to pivot on. I guess your question can be anwsered with "it depends on how much work you want to do, and how original you want your tractor to be".

You are right about the 70 not having a float ride seat (from the factory) but the 50's did. I do want my tractor to be original. From what I have seen at shows, float ride seats on the 50 and 60 were fairly common. I'll keep looking.
