Chris, it will probably work ok [if the live pump will clear the governor & factory hydraulic lines].
~I haven't ever had a need to try what you want to do so can't say if it will clear.
~If your aren't using the PTO a PTO pump would be easier.
~If you can plumb to both sides of the loader hydraulic cylinders you won't need too much of a reservoir & can probably use [share] the power-trol reservoir that's on the tractor.
~Your system must have an open center valve so oil can return to the reservoir.
~You could always just cut into the factory pump pressure line & feed the pressure oil into your open center 2 spool valve & then plumb the center return back to the pressure in on the power-trol. That way your factory pump could run both the loader & 3-point [probably not at the exact same time though]..... ....

Clooney, I am interested in using my pump thats already there. How is the best way to plumb to that hyd line. Also when you say use both sides of the cylinders will i then have down pressure cause id like to have down pressure. Then also is there a way to add more capacity to the powrtrol with an external reservoir. And then the return off the 2spool valve would go in the bottom plug on the powertrol. Thanks clooney i am always looking for ways to save money and not having to buy another pump to add is a good way to start. Thanks Chris

Chris, there is no one best way to plumb into the pressure line. It depends on where the spool valve is mounted & what is in the way. On some I have done it under the side of the floor plate & on others right at the rear where the pressure line enters the rear housing. You will have to cut the line & braze on fittings to hook hydraulic hoses to. The line from the pump goes to the pressure in on the spool valve & the line from the rear goes to the return line from the spool valve.
~You could add an external reservoir but it probably won't be needed if both sides of the cylinders are used [as the oil comes out of one side of the cylinder it goes into the other side so nothing is gained or lost].
~You will have 2 way cylinders if you plumb to both sides but there is some controversy as to whether those cylinders are really designed to be used as 2 way....

You could put 2 Baker valves on your Power-Trol & not make any other changes,
Ray
