The storage room at my college shop has a bunch of two cylinder style injectors. How can I identify what they are for? Some of the injectors have cone shaped tips. What were these used for? Thanks

Are you sure they are for JD and not Detroit or Cummins?

There is an easy way to tell whether or not they are Cummins and Detroit or JD. Most Cummins and all Detroit have the plunger made in the injector as opposed to JD which has a fuel rack seprate from the injectors. On JD the injectors only purpose is to spray the fuel as opposed to Cummins and Detroit injectors which makes the pressure and sprays the fuel all in the injector.
