As Clooney stated, adjust the clutch pulley brake so that it comes in contact with the pulley a little sooner to prevent further rearward motion of your clutch lever. I had to do that on my 50 and it works great now.

One other comment I'd like to make is how to properly use the pulley brake on the hand clutch. Don't use it to stop the tractor -- the foot brakes are for that. The brake pad on the clutch lever is used to stop the pulley from free-wheeling when shifting from neutral into gear.

Hank, easy fix, just adjust the brake to come on earlier. What happens is, if you pull the lever too far back without the brake applying the pulley moves in & starts to re-engage the clutch lining.
