I'm a Deere man but call Stoller IH dealer at 815-426-2119 for info. on excellent shop in Arkansas. I and customers of my paint shop have had excellent results on numerous tach repairs for about $90.

Saw a guy on ebay last week that did speedo repair. From what I could see, he did pretty good work. He had a couple of JD tachs for sale on there that were completely rebuilt. New ones from JD are in the $300-400 range. You might try doing a search in completed items on ebay for a JD tachometer to catch up with the guy that had those for sale. If I get a chance I'll try to find him myself and get back with you.

We never had much luck getting one fixed, Maybe we didnt send to right place, I think you will have to go to deere and get new;
