Oil leak at rear of fanshaft

I've got a late Model 60 (w/power steering) and am getting a minor oil leak from the rear of the fanshaft.
I can't tell if it's originating from the ventilator pump gasket (#A4190R) or the fanshaft rear bearing housing gasket (#B2642R). The leak is only apparent from the slow drip I get from oil falling off the bottom of the spark plug wire bracket.
I assume yhe only way to get to these gaskets is to remove the governor? How big of a job am I in for?
Thanks in advance!

Al, are the bolts tight? [if not start there]
~You should first try cleaning the leak area & see exactly where it is leaking from. ~Remember the rear gasket is also a gear placement shim & the thickness should be kept the same.
~There are 3 gasket areas back there plus the tube to pump "0" ring. Any one, or all could be leaking.
~ I you have to take it apart to reseal the gaskets or "0" ring you will have to make some choices, pull the governor, or pull the radiator, or if you are lucky try pulling the P/S pump out [sometimes it will come out the front, but for me not very often] then work the fan tube out.
~I would suggest that if you pull that fan tube to replace the gaskets that you also reseal the power steering pump [it will probably start leaking if you don't re-seal it], & inspect & replace any worn fan shaft couplings....
~Let us know exactly where the leaks is & maybe we can offer other suggestions..

Clooney,
All bolts are tight.
I've thoroughly cleaned the area to try and identify where the leak is originating. The ONLY evidence I can find is that it is coming from between the spark plug wire bracket and the ventilator pump housing. I removed the spark plug wire bracket from the ventilator pump housing and no evidence of a cracked housing, nor is it damp at the mating surfaces of the ventilator pump, fanshaft bearing housing or governor.
Is it possible that either the ventilator pump gasket and/or the fanshaft rear bearing housing gasket have failed and oil is weeping along the threads of the stud/bolts that secure the ventilator pump and bearing housing to the governor?
Thanks!

Al, yes it's possible the oil is seeping along the bolt threads.
~Clean the area with mineral spirits or other evaporating solvent then blow it off with compressed air, then after it dries, lightly spray the area with a white foot power spray. That should allow you to see where the oil leak is starting.
