JD 510 backhoe loader ran fine but now will move forward or back. Acts like it will not go into gear. Hydraulics work fine.

No grinding noise. Nothing. It Just wont move.

Where do I start? Is there any luck that it is just a plugged screen or will I have to break this thing in half?

Thanks,
BH

A 510 huh ??? $$$$$$$$$$$$ .....When you shift the transmission ...1 thru 8 , does it make any sounds like its working inside ??? engine lugging slightly etc ?? There is a tow disconnect lever on the rear right top of the transmission...right in front of the axle housing...It disconnects the transmission so the backhoe can be towed...maybe that got dislodged....hopefully !! Its sometimes hard to locate due to the location and there is usually 4 inches of crap on top of it....
