Are the heads on these two tractors interchangeable? From looking at the parts catalog, the numbers are different. Yet, I saw a head (from a 2010) that was advertised for use on a 1010. Is this possible??

What other parts do these two tractors share?

Thanks,

Manny

I have a friend that is a retired J.D. dealer and I recall him saying that if he ever got a 1010 he would put in 2010 pistions and sleeves. He is now running 2020. He always said that the engineeing behind the 1010 was a 430 with a 4 cylinders and the 2010 was ,,,,well a 2010. Pageing through the after market catologs there are more parts listed with the 1010 and the 430. I didn't know this but the PTO shaft is the same as the 430 in one catolog.
