Trying to get the oil filter housing out of a G to clean and inspect, but having trouble getting it to move. The IT manual gives design on a tool to make for this but has not worked. Is there something i need to do that i'm not doing to get this out. Any ideas is appreciated, thanks ken. By the way all parts are out of engine so getting inside is no problem if it helps.

Ken, are you trying to pull the housing or the filter outlet? [The outlet is that tube & plate with the holes in the side].
~If trying to pull the outlet you can try making a tool, or try using a 5 gallon pail handle. Bend the pail wire handle so the ends go in those holes in the side of the outlet, then use a pipe or bar in the wire loop & either pop it down, or strike the bar in the downward direction with a hammer.
~If it's really stuck in there you will need a heavier duty puller or weld a pipe to the bottom of the outlet tube.
~If you already have the outlet out & are really trying to remove the housing post back for directions on that. The housing isn't usually removed unless the top is bent in....

I'm trying to get the part off where the oil line from the pump goes in and lines leave going to main bearings. Want to clean out, it's been sitting up for several years, figured it needs cleaning out. Looks like it's made on oil filter housing, can't see any thing holding it on. This is the only thing i have'nt taken apart and cleaned. Sorry i don't know what it's called, thanks ken.

Ken, that is the oil filter head. There are bolts holding it on from inside the oil filter housing [where the filter element goes]. To get to those bolts you must pull the filter outlet down from the bottom. Then the bolts can be removed. To remove the filter outlet see the first post..I'll send you a picture....
