How to store a 730 Diesel?

I have a 620 gas that has been in storage for almost a year. Recently, I purchased a 730 Diesel. Both of the owner's manuals say the same thing about tractor storage, except when it comes to lubricating the cylinders. The 730 manual makes no mention of this at all. I realize that there are no spark plug holes in which to access the cylinders, so my question is this; How are other people lubricating the two-cylinder diesels for storage? Can you simply use the de-compression pedal to somewhat "flood" the cylinders with diesel fuel before shutdown? Thanks.

WSE:

Since like you say, there is no really good way to "fog" the cylinders, I would concentrate on fresh engine oil.

There can be a huge amount of sulfur suspended in diesel crancakse oil, and it can combine with ambient moisture to form all kinds of sulfur compounds, probably the worst of which would be Sulfuric Acid (H2SO4). That stuff will go after bearings and machined surfaces in a big way.

That said, I would change the engine oil before storage. In fact, if it were mine, I would flush it, too, just to help remove as many sulfurous deposits as can he done. And don't forget about the aircleaner oil.
