You need to refrase your posting to get the JD pullers attention, something like "HOW TO BUILD A JOHN DEERE-A FOR TRACTORPULLING". There are several people who frequent this forum who can give you all the help your wallet can afford on building 2 cylinder tractorpullers. Several of the names they go by are, WTW, G-MAN, BIGMOTORS, and a few others. I would start with them. I have an A-JD that I pull with, but it is not a stroker motor, just a powerblock bored over with high compression aluminums, head and intake boring, polishing and milling, G-carb and the oil bath removed. It dyno's at 55hp, I pull 4500lb.-6000lb. classes. Hope this helps.

Jim I believe "The Hook" magazine might be a good place to start for info. As far as "semi" stock, the things most people start with are high compression heads like Heislers or after market heads, high compression domed pistons etc., borign and strokin to add cubes and compression, and then a hot ignition in cases of high compression and/or exotic fuels, plus a carb job to add more CFM and then some cam work and head porting etc. I think that good ol G Man on here is a puller and my old Missouri Buddy ML Aylward plus a lot of others. I used to do some of it stock, but it got to where you had to spend the BIG BUCKS to compete and a little lol cheating and I got out but still enjoy watching. Best Wishes in it n God Bless Ol John T Nordhoff in Indiana
