sorry asked this question before but i work alot and have school so i cant hardly ever be on here anymore, but is it ok to use strait E-85 or other ethanol blends in the 2 cylinders? I guess i would rather support americas corn growers than anyone in the middle east.

I don't use ethanol in my 2 cylinder. It runs fine on it, but the ethanol has a tendency to raise or make light areas in the new paint on your freshly restored tractor! :-( I speak from experience.

Don't know about E85, but I'd guess you might need to make some carb adjustments. Energy density of the alcohol is quite a bit less. I've had no problem with E10 unleaded. I do splash a little 2 stroke oil in each tank full. If nothing else, the blue-green color looks kind of cool in the sediment bowl!

JD G Guy,
I just started running the ethanol blend in my 60 to support our farmers and to reduce my fuel system icing when it gets really cold out.
She runs just fine on it. I do add about 4 ozs. per 10 gals of Marvel Mystery Oil to the tank when I fuel up to keep the top end lubed up.

As for the French..... SEND 'EM BACK THE STATUE OF LIBERTY; THEY OBVIOUSLY NEED IT WORSE THAN WE DO!!!

Send 'em a bill for all the men, women, and machines we used up liberating their precious country from Hitler in WWII. Then remind them we are still grateful for the Statue of Liberty and that maybe they need to give themselves one to look at when they forget what it was like when their country was subjugated by the Nazis. They are very nice people, it's sad how bad their memory can be at times.

For an opinion of French people ask the residents of Vermont or Ontario who border Quebec. In fact ask the rest of Canada about how the entire country has been run from Quebec since the late 60's. Some of the French are very interesting and special..... ..... .... With M-85 ethanol blend the fuel flow would have to be about doubled and all the metering/flow passages be appox 50% larger diameter.

I haven't tried e-85 but 10% mix works just fine. I have a 620 that I have used the blend in for the last 12 yrs and have had no problems. If you use it in an old tank you will get a lot of sediment as the ethanol will dissolve old varnish in the tank.

JD G Guy,
I applaud your idea. Best be warned, though, that the "nols", ethanol, methanol, etc. will cause more wear on the innards of your engine over the long term.

I got an email a month or so ago from a guy in my Dad's bomb group (these are the guys who faced 70% losses in WW2 to save the @#$#@# French - so you gotta respect what they say) who had a list of which gas stations to buy from based on the per centage of middle east oil they imported. Might want to check out those numbers.

Heard about a French Tank on ebay for sell. Had three reverse speeds and one forward, in case they were attacked from the rear.

i had this email sent to me, so since it pertains to this response i will plop it in this msg.

Here are some large companies that do not import Middle Eastern oil: Citgo..... ..... ..... .0 barrels
Sunoco..... ..... . ..0 barrels
Conoco..... ..... ...0 barrels
Sinclair..... ..... ... 0 barrels
BP/Phillips..... .... 0 barrels
Hess..... ..... ..... ..0 barrels All of this information is available from the Department of Energy and
each is required to state where they get their oil and how much they are
importing. They report on a monthly basis. Keep this list in your car;
share it with friends. Stop paying for terrorism..... ..... .

some people belive chain letters as gospel,I know for a fact that a tanker will service Mobil then go to a Citgo and fill them. If you belive that you must have your duct tape allready.

Dave,
You're right, there's a lot of "commingling" going on in the tanker and in the pipeline. On the other hand the people who don't want to drill in the ANWAR, don't want you to drive a SUV - or pickup truck, or hobby tractor, and in general don't want you to have much freedom of movement are surely making their voices heard. If we don't do something to show our displeasure - or make that outrage - we might as well be in @#$%@@ France.
