I have a 1950 model b that I overhauled in 1991 and used it very little. I started working on some other tractor and foolishy let this one sit for a year and a half. It was always in a shed but as you can guess its stuck, is there a way to break it loose without tearing it down. I hope so because I'm knee deep in another B right now. Thanks bob

I learned from a guy that is 86 years old to use Alcohol. I know that it sounds weird. But the G I got from him, is the way he got her loose. Got a Fairbanks Morris single cylinder engine loose that way too. Works.

Bob, My dad got a A unstuck soaking the cylinders with kerosene and then used Marvel Mystery Oil. It worked pretty well and eventually it did come loose without breaking the rings. Good Luck!

Well, first I'd try everything I could think of before tearing it down! Try your favorite solvent oil - remove spark plugs and fill cylinders with it and let it soak for a while. (days, weeks) Put tractor in gear and jack up one wheel, and see if you can rock the engine with the wheel. I'm sure you'll get a lot of suggestions as to favorite penetrants to soak it with. Just hang in for a few others to post!

use 50-50 mix brake fluid and dexeron transmission fluid in spark plug hole, brake fluid as you know seeps any where.dexeron is high detergent. soak cylinders for week or untill free up.flush out of crank case after she fires up right away.don"t let motor run with this mix in it!
