I recall those choppers only came with a corn head while the New Holland 3pt. had both the hay and corn head. I think the chopper may have been foreign built (France?)and sold in the 70's.

Going from memory here. First it is not a J.D. if I recall. A second line co starting with K (Kuffer) made them. It was during the era of 70's when J.D. was farming out smaller equipment. Little Giant made the J.D. 428 elevator, Arps made the J.D.31 Post hole digger and Kools made the silo blowers. Alot that stuff had parts that inchanged with the the machines that the small co made. Never saw a 25 chopper. But I remember seening silo blowers with Kools parts on them. Green Yellow and Orange.

Found sales lit on the 25 chopper dated 1977. Tractor required 45HP to 80HP, Cat II 540 P.T.O... Cutterhead 18" with6 knives. Lenght of cut 1/8" to 1/4" Shipping wt 1125#. Shows mounted on a 2640 tractor. I don't think the companey that made them for J.D. are still in bussiness as I haven't seen adds for that Co in years. That co. invented it and had it out for a couple of years before they started making them for J.D. along with still making them under there own name.
