Dealing with a guy via the internet who says he has an original Ferguson 2 bottom turn plow and he"s asking $175.00 ... seems a little high to me but I really don"t know what they"re worth.. can you guys help me out?? He said the mould boards have had metal welded on them where holes had started.. I"ll have to look at the pictures real close to see what I can.. I"ll post them here if I can
Thanks

I wouldn't give $25 for that plow!!! If the moldboards have holes that were weled up, they are shot and by the looks of it, the only way to get it to shine up is to put all new wear parts on it. That's usually $80-120/moldboard, $20/share, $15/landslide, etc etc. Ad that up and multiply by 2, you've got yourself a waste of money. Find one closer at an auction and for a better price.

A good 2 bottom can go for $200 depending on the crowd, and that's probably why this guy is asking $175. I'd guess he saw a "slightly" better one sell for $2-250 at an auction(good wear parts, shined up recently, yadda yadda yadda,..... ) and figured he could get atleast 150 for his that hasn't seen any soil in what looks like 20+ years.

It helps to find a sucker to get a price that steep, and I hope I've helped you from becoming one.
